We Have Appreciated Their Service And It Has Been Helpful

The Craig is a good place. The pandemic has changed several things for including the food. The food is being delivered to the residents now. The community has several activities for the residents to choose from outside of the pandemic.

Abbey Delray a Place You can Call Home

I was able to secure a spot for my loved one at this new community. The community was very accommodating on making sure he was comfortable on the first floor, and they even allowed him to eat out on the patio. They even let me know to not provide a cell phone to call me. They stated that my loved one would be calling me at all times of night. They let me know that he needed to get adjusted to the new community. My loved one's son took him to the community to get him settled in. The room was near the dining room and the activities room. His son feels it was a very nice and clean room. The community keeps the rooms small to allow the residents to get them out of the room, to get to know other residents and keep them engaged in activities. They allowed me to drop linens and other items off at the guard gate and the staff brought the items to my loved ones. They are allowing him to have as much ice cream as he can have. The rooms are small. You can call Furniture World is near the community, and they know all the sizes of the rooms at the community. This retail store will be able to bring the furniture to the room for my loved one. The price is comparable to the prior community. I feel it is a bargain as long as I feel comfortable knowing where he is at.

we focused mainly on the Independent Living side of things at The Craig & could not be more impressed. What a beautiful place! Everyone was friendly & courteous. The grounds are spectacular. We had only a brief tour of the Assisted Living side of the facility & at face value it did not look like what we were looking for. We would need to go back again before making a decision.

Overall Happy with Oak Trace

Mom's got some dementia and we have had some problems with communication. Everything else we are happy with. There is plenty of space to walk around. We visited fourteen places and we like this one the best. Of course, she was there three months and they raised the rent. All the other things are four to five.

give yourself peace of mind for your future

The community is very clean, the staff and residents are all very friendly and welcoming. The meals have been a little bit of a challenge because of the supply chain and staffing, but they are working to make improvements and they were working very hard. They have an exceptional number of exercise classes and entertainment. They have different lectures and we go out on different outings. The expenses are high, but paying for mental comfort in the future if you should need their services is worth it

Yes i would recommend Meadow Lake because we do feel like they try really hard

The facility itself was very clean, however our loved ones room could of used a little more house cleaning. According to our loved one the food there was not very good at all. They did make really good efforts to keep the activities going during the pandemic for the senior residents, however it was just not very successful with our loved one.

The assisted living rooms looked like hospital rooms

I toured this community and I think, as far as their independent living is concerned, they’re good. I didn’t like the assisted living much because it was more like a nursing home. The rooms in the assisted living side were very small, more like a hospital room. I saw their dining area and they had a buffet that looked pretty good. I was able to interact with the supervisors of the different wings and they seemed to be knowledgeable about the facility. Ultimately, the location wasn’t ideal so we decided against this community.

Oak Trace

I toured Oak Trace while looking at living options for my father. I liked the community and thought it was very nice, but it seemed too institutional for me. I was looking for a place that was more comfortable with a bright, cheery feel, and I just didn’t find that at Oak Trace.

Large Entrance Fee

I think that where my mother is is nicer, but I haven't walked around that much. I have been there a few times. He only gets one meal a day, and my mother gets two, which is nice. He payed a 130,000 entrance fee to get in there, and he still has to pay rent each month. They have a hospital there, like a nursing home, and my aunt was kind of sickly. With that fee, they were guaranteed a place there no matter what happens. He has been there ten years.

Mixed experience

My father was at Friendship Village for 4 years. He started in Independent Living, then moved to Assisted Living, then moved to Memory Care. Independent Living was a good experience … good food, nice resident interactions, personal trainers. Assisted Living was an OK experience. Memory care was a poor experience. FV staff were understaffed and undertrained. I was so concerned that I put together a 50-line-item spreadsheet and had twice-monthly calls with FV to ensure accountability and follow-up. (IMHO, I should not have had to micro-manage FV like this). And the last 48 hours of my father’s life broke my heart in how it was handled by FV staff. Lots of detail here, but they did not handle it per my instructions nor my father’s wishes. There were some bright spots with FV employees who were exceptional (the trainer, the chaplain, some aides). One thing we did that made FV bearable was hiring augmented (from outside FV) staff to shore up for the undertrained FV employees.

Could be more creative during this time with COVID, and food can use improvement

Recently I noticed my jewelry has been stole, and the food quality has declined. At first ordering food that was good was easy, but now it has been more difficult and of the food items are not edible. I was very lucky i get a deluxe room, which i love my apartment. It is spacious and very nice.

The Waterford / Lifespace

On the whole the Waterford delivers on its contractual obligations which are sufficient to make the everyday life of octogenarians reasonably comfortable if followed. it is worth mentioning the poor dinning facilities which are staffed by mostly untrained servers some even displaying outrigh rude, unfriendly and menacing behavior which Managemen assumes as an acceptable norm.

Beautiful facility staff not great

Better than most but still is not worth the exorbitantly high cost. Few good kind staff they never stay very long though. Use agency very frequently never know who is walking in your apartment. Was there when a employee was escorted off campus drove off crazy in the parking lot that is what I want to happen when I visit my loved one. Staff yelling at each other in the hallways. Attitude for a simple request to empty over flowing trash cans. Staff sleeping or talking on their phones. Lord forbid your loved one requests to dine in their own apartment your charged extra even if your loved one isn't feeling well enough to attend dinner in the dinning room. Staff are horrendous about this restaurant style dinning is nice but not every day. Free independent life style that is promised in the borchor in reality is like boarding school. Every single time I visit strong stench of marijuana all through the assistant living building. Aids puffing on vapes in the hallways.

I Toured This Community

We were not impressed with the community, the rooms in the memory care unit was not very big, there are bathrooms in between two rooms, you had the option to take both bedrooms but with an upcharge or just take one bedroom and have to share a bathroom with another resident. There was not enough individual care for the residents.

Do not admit your loved one to the rehab unit!!!

I’m giving the GreenFields rehab unit an overall score of 2 which is a combination of a 5 for the heroic nurses/CNAs and less than a 0 for the administration. The administration was more concerned about the legal implications of my father being a fall risk rather than continuing his care. He did fall twice while under their care. He was hustled out of there to in-home Hospice more than 3 weeks before the surgeon recommended that he be released. No effort was made to review/ consider the expert’s opinion. Note that he was 89 & recovering from a fractured femur. Dad passed soon after discharge, while he still should been a patient. Furthermore, continued care was refused even when we requested to fully pay for his care outside of Medicare. The number of CNAs & nurses also needs to be doubled so that adequate care can be provided. This is what you get as a former doctor in the community. I can only imagine how it would have been for him if he was not.
